How many of the Pinballinfo community is also a member of either;
Pinside
Pinballowners
Google Pinball Forum- UK or other
UK VAC (and posts in Pinball section)
I would wager that Pinside has the biggest community, and that members on Pinside are also members of groups in their own country etc..( like Pinballinfo for UK)
The reason for this thread is to see if figures such as Owners/Wishlist should be used as a good indication for how in demand / good a game is..

Pinside might be the biggest but it certainly isn't the best.

I would have thought absolute values are fairly meaningless? it's the ratio of demand which is what you're looking for and I'd say on the whole that'd be the same here as there?

Pinside - Don't have an account, but do occasionally use it for specific info, the forum layout is horrible tho
Pinballowners - Have a profile, but can't say I have used it for much
Google Pinball Forum- UK or other - Had no idea such a place existed
UK VAC (and posts in Pinball section) - UKVac member, but the Pinball sections pretty much dead

The Flipperarma Facebook page is making moves.
Last week we had 119 viewers and this week we've had 122 so there is an upward trajectory.

I don't browse Pinside but I view and post in threads relevant to games I have or might have soon.
It's just too big, too OTT for general stuff.

I completely agree.
It's a fabulous archive but quite daunting when faced with that volume of new threads.

Pinside is mostly just one huge whinge fest about new games. It does have the odd interesting thread though.

Pinside has some great resources, particularly from Vid1900 and his detailed photographed guides on everything from rebuilding flippers to full playfield restorations
Lots of complete and utter garbage though

I use Pinside mostly for threads for games that I have. They do have useful fixes and tips on games maintenance

Maybe it's over the top and obsessive of me but I read the entirety of a owners club thread of a new pin I'm expecting, first page to last and often save posts that have info I may require.
It's part of the excitement of a new game, wanting to learn the common issues, ball feeds, ROMs, etc plus get ideas on LEDs and what not to do
Sometimes it takes a week or two to make it through a thread but it's invaluable! I just like making sure my games play as intended and are reliable

I have a profile on Pinside and use it mainly for old trouble shooting and maintenance threads as well as the different “owners clubs” for the games I currently own.
The navigation on it though is not great. It just seems to be and endless list of random threads.

Haven’t been on Pinside for years. Don’t miss it at all. All the threads were just a dick measuring contest.
Nuked my pinball owners account. Got fed up of the flippers trying to buy games off me.
Occasionally dip into the Facebook groups

No mate, Spencer has been away in Thailand and I'm working really hard to get the pinshed extension finished before an arrival. I'm putting in a load of armoured cable, fiber broadband etc so I can't currently edit in there.

Funnily enough I haven't done any of it Alan, I've literally just been cracking on because I've given myself a deadline to finish.
I'll definitely do a video once I'm finished though.

Pinside: If you have a problem with a pin, chances are someone else has experienced said issue.
Great place for finding support.
However, loads of pinball daddies seeking upvotes who will argue black is actually white. It’s a click community. If you haven’t been a member 10 years + your a newbie…lol

Pinside is pretty useful as has been said, I recieved a CPR playfield the other day and wasn’t happy with it. Posted pics up on the relevant thread to ask opinions.
Got the answers I expected then contacted CPR, reply was yes we have seen the pictures and this is what has gone wrong with the print.
Gave me options to rectify. Hopefully a good one will arrive soon
So yeah a big place that’s heavily watched and influence’s.

Was it a FT playfield that you had issues with? As I was reading a post about that the other day.

Pinside is awesome - it’s huge so loads of different opinions and like this place it has its crazies and people stuck in the past but it has a great ignore function too. I subscribe to the game clubs I’m in and find them in valuable. Pinside meet ups usually thanks to JJ are epic.
