Jacques Torres makes the best chocolate chip cookies in New York. They’re chocolatey and chewy and chunky and bittersweet and perfect. Well, here’s the recipe to make them at home. YUM!

Best chocolate chip cookies I’ve ever made! I froze half the batter and defrosted and reused and still came out delicious. If you want them smaller and thicker, scoop out about an inch in diameter high and bake at 400 for 8-9 minutes and let them finish cooking a bit longer on the hot baking sheet. I find the secret to a good cookie is take them out way before the designated time. Another awesome cookie recipe is Ritz Carrlton’s blueberry/ white chocolate chip cookie. You guys should try it!

I’m frequently inspired by recipes online (who isn’t?!) but this one actually moved from an inspirational bookmark to reality. I bought the special ingredients and everything. Now it’s all I can do to wait the recommended 24 hours before baking!

I used to live right by Jacques Torres in Brooklyn and while their spicy hot chocolate is wonderful, Levain Bakery on the Upper West Side takes the cake! I dream about Levain cookies and even now, living on the opposite side of the country, I have Levain cookies shipped to my house just so I can taste a little bit of heaven every now and then :)

These look absolutely delicious! We love your preferences in cookies! We’d have to agree with all of them. Especially leaving the nuts out. We might have to up the chocolate to cookie ratio…

found these on Pinterest and we made them that night!
A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Of course you have to plan ahead since it calls for huge full chocolate bars, WORTH IT!
and the recipe was so big, we halved it and then froze the rest to have ready to bake cookies, so yummy. My new favorite cookie!

Until I moved to L.A., I worked right across the street from Jacques at the Penguin office! They are hands down the best cookies. And, if you go in there for coffee, they’ll put a shot of their unbelievable European style hot chocolate in there for you–it’s amazing.
