Just fine. You need a reservation in this restaurant but we walked in. Food is good. Tastes like other restaurants too. Price is high, atmosphere (inside) is just okay. From outside it is themed Harley Quinn but inside it feels like a Jamaican restaurant.

We have been three times during our stay and it has been fantastic every visit.served twice by Kimberly and once by Siobhan and can say they are a credit to the restaurant. Oh if you like stew a little spicy you must try the bajan hot pot .I've had it on 2 occasions.!!

This restaurant never disappoints when visiting the StLawrence gap in Barbados. I try to enjoy seafood as much as I can on the Island. The Thai Curry is my favourite with the coconut shrimp a close second. I would strongly suggest a reservation especially in the high season to avoid disappointment. It is also a great spot for people watching in the evening.

The food and the service was amazing as always, one of our favourite restaurants on the island. It was great to be greeted by the manager and remembered like a home away from home. Will be back again as soon as we can.

The food was like an Iceland takeaway, I had the harlequin chicken and looked and tasted like a frozen chicken korma from Iceland, in fact it didn't taste as good. My daughter had the Thai red chicken curry, again very bland, little taste, like the harlequin chicken the actual meat looked and tasted processed and microwaved. May as well have just dropped £60 on the street, when asked if it was all good the answer was as written above but no response whatsoever, not an eyelid was batted, this is one place I won't be recommending. Trying to be 5* isn't for everyone I'm afraid.

When a restaurant goes above and beyond they deserve recognition. It was our last night in Barbados and we planned to dine at Harlequin Restaurant Barbados. I unfortunately felt unwell so my husband called to cancel our reservation and instead ask if he could pick up takeout. Hearing I was unwell, the very kind owner/manager drove the food all the way out to us in Worthing in the middle of a busy service. If he is reading this post, thank you so much, it was delicious. And to all travellers, be sure to put this restaurant on your must try list.

One of the best in the St Lawrence gap, which is dominated with restaurants and bars, but this one is a multiple visits one, food is excellent, service is attentive but not intrusive, food timings is great for a very busy restaurant

This place is the perfect place to have a great meal in a great environment. The entire staff is amazing, however I have to say Angela, Macintosh, and the owner Keith totally made us and our guests feel special. We will continue to recommend Harlequin to all of our guests!

The best place in St. Lawrence gap to eat!!We had an evening meal here on Saturday 2nd December 2023, and it was amazing. The food is high standard. The service is excellent the staff are so friendly and go above and beyond to serve you with a smile. The owner is very friendly and will do his best to make sure all your needs are met. It's child friendly which is just brilliant.The food/service is worth every penny.On Sunday 3rd December after a long day of excursions we requested our food to be delivered to our hotel room. They instantly took are order and delivered our order with in an hour. It came with the same quality we received when dining.All I can say is thank you so much for making our trip to Barbados even more amazing.Thanks room 414

Having been a chef for the major part of my adult life, its very rare that I can sit at a table in a restaurant and not find fault with the smallest detail, whether it be the food, the service, cleanliness or whatever. This place made me verrryyyy happyyyyy. The service was excellent, the waitresses were very pleasant and attentive. My youngest spilled her drink and a gentleman, whom I presumed to be the owner, tidied our spot right up ( thumbs up right there!) The food was great! It came out on time, hot and everyone enjoyed their food from the apps to the dessert. The rum punch was on point ( I wanted a third but I endeavour to be a responsible parent...when it counts) So just to list, we had : the calamari was great, the mixed seafood app was excellent, the cajun chicken dinner was yummy, the mahi mahi was delicious and the surf and turf looked good (those two individuals didn't share with the rest of us). Wish I had gotten more photos but I was busy enjoying the food. Basically, EVERYTHING was enjoyable and I had a fabulous night. Barbados was a great vacation spot and having dinner here on our last night just tied it up in a nice bow for us. Great location. The food is good but their salsa, Damn.. It's the best! I love a fresh salsa! There co*cktails are very freshing as well. Looking for some good Mexican food, this the place to be. I'd definitely recommend.

Absolutely amazing place if you fancy a change from your daily food at your hotel. This Mexican place is high class with the service being excellent. The setting is also amazing as you're sitting right by the sea. Pricing is very fair given you're on an island where the majority of the stuff is imported. The home made salsa is so tasty along with the different colored chips. We had a great evening with a few house co*cktails (2 for 1). All in all I would highly recommend this place if you fancy some nice Mexican food.

Aesthetics wise it’s a nice place with good music.The Food was poor I haven’t been this disappointed in a long time, for starters I had cheesy nachos, not with “real” cheese but cheese sauce that was sad, just so sad.I then had the sizzling Fajita, for my main, with the upgrade version which gets you shrimp, steak and chicken. The lack of seasoning is real, the highlight of the whole dish was the sizzle when they bring it out to you in a hot pan.After getting my starter it took over 40 mins, before my main food came out.On a positive note the fruit punch is decent and the staff are friendly.

We went to this restaurant 2 nights in a row because it was that good! The food was averaged, service was excellent. There’s a 2 for 1 drink special nightly so we took full advantage of that. The location is perfect, at the entrance of St.Lawrence Gap.Definitely would recommend this place.

Popular with great atmosphere. We visited here twice whilst staying locally sat both inside and out. Couldn’t fault the service very attentive the 2nd visit the lady remembered all our order without a pad and even corrected a dish knowing it was wrong before it even hit the table. Food was hot and large portions, nachos could feed two especially if you had a starter. I enjoyed the spicy beef burrito.We would be happy to return

We went into the resturant to have dinner, place wasn't too crowded, food taste great and had a variety of condiments, waiter wasn't around all the time. I had ask for her. Atmosphere was a blend of Christmas and Mexican.. felt a bit too much in my opinion but to each is own.

As a single person with no reservation on a Saturday at 5:30, (I had just hopped off a bus and required fortification) the hostess seemed hesitant to seat me. Felt passed over (no one offered a menu) when seated at the bar. Very nice margarita though, and the bartender brought me two for one, which I am sorry I could not consume as a single old lady about to walk back to my hotel in the twilight, The spicy beef enchilada was the perfect amount of spicy as well. Delicious! But please don’t wipe down the bar in front of me before I leave? It’s busy, I know, but still. All in all though, would go again and would definitely recommend. Lovely view of the ocean but shaded as well.

My wife and i took a trip down to Barbados to celebrate our honeymoon and cafe sol really did impress me with all the dishes. Watching and hearing the water from the ocean was bliss and one amazing thing was there was a friendly waiter who kept treating me like i was a celebrity from a movie! This was my second time at Primo! And now I have to leave a amazing review. We came to celebrate a birthday without a reservation and they were able to accommodate us, granted they were fully booked but sneaked us in so I appreciated that!Food was great. Service was great. Drinks were great. Dessert was amazing!The fish tacos were so good! I also had a burger and it was cooked to a perfect medium rare.Prices are not terribly high, and the portions are pretty good!!Also, you can’t beat the view. Even had some sea friends visit 🤓

Has to be one of the best food experiences I've had in Barbados. The seaside ambiance and decor was really beautiful. Seats were comfortable.Our servers were amazingly wonderful and that definitely added to the experience.We started with Fried Flying Fish and Soup of the Day (pumpkin and carrot soup). Both dishes were tasty and delicious, great starters.For mains we got Chicken Alfredo and Roasted Half Chicken. Both meals were hearty, very well seasoned and sensational.Dessert however was the star of the show for me, White Chocolate Cheesecake with Blackberry compote. It was so smooth and delectable.In summary another 10/10 in my books, definitely would recommend.

Excellent ocean front restaurant. We were seated over the waters edge with a view of the sunset. Meal and service were exemplary. They have the best bread pudding for dessert. We went back a second time and asked for the same server because we enjoyed our experience so much. Reservations are a must and go early if you want to experience the glorious sunset.

The ambiance of this restaurant is amazing. The view anywhere you sit is phenomenal. The sangria (white) was the best I ever had, but the food (Prime rib) was dry & over cooked and they tried to fix it by bringing me another one which had so much salt I couldn’t even eat it. This wasn’t my first visit to Primo Bar & Bistro. I generally like the atmosphere and the relaxing view, overlooking St. Lawrence Gap beach bay.On entry to the restaurant the lady at the desk looked disinterested. There was no welcome. Another young lady who pop by next to her, welcomed us to the restaurant.Dinner took a bit longer on this occasion and our waitress who was pleasant seemed unorganized at first. We were offered either olive oil or butter to go with the bread and we chose butter, but the waitress never returned with it.Due to the length of time she took to get back to our table, another waiter noticed and came over to take our food and drink order. While eating our starters, the first waitress came back to our table and asked, “how is your food” with no apology or even recognizing she had forgotten about our table. After observing for a while I noticed she was new and learning.The service was slow between meals and we had to ask on various occasions to have our water goblets refilled by 4 different wait staff.For dessert we ordered a red velvet cake and a death by chocolate. The waitress brought out a cheesecake and the death by chocolate. When the waiter who took our order saw it, he tried to correct it, but we told him not to worry as the night was already long.The wait staff were all friendly and the food was nice. It had great flavors.Overall we had a fair time.

Where do i even begin! The staff was stellar the food was sensational and last but certainly the beverages were exquisite. My wife and i had the pleasure of celebrating our 50th anniversary of marriage and i couldn’t think of a better to do host said occasion. An already special night was sealed in gold by me and my wife’s new favorite restaurant Primo bar and bistro. 5 stars would absolutely recommend <3

Beautiful views, great staff and nice atmosphere. The food was not great though, it wasn't horrible but I expected it to be better. It was 8 of us, and only 1 meal was good/ok.

Food was great and not too expensive. Service was a bit slow, when we came as a bigger group. It is right at the water but no air conditioning. (just the restroom and waiting space has AC... You want to stay in the restroom as long as possible)

Tonight's dining experience was everything but enjoyable. Dinner rolls forgotten...water not being topped up...mediocre salad and I mean the worst salad I've ever purchased at a restaurant...and I purchase a lot...we agreed on nuts...no nuts added...They did allow a switch from mango and cranberries to tomato and cucumbers but still the salad was not appealing...forgotten grilled chicken which had to come after...extremely long wait to have the table cleared...I decided to clear it myself because why would I want dirty plates sitting in front of us for over 15 minutes while staff members walk up and down without noticing... We were celebrating a birthday and while the scenery was lovely it will be a PriNO for us going forward... I will say this: our waitress was friendly as well as the greeters and hostess but I do believe that additional staff may be needed so some guests don't get left out.

My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant with a group of friends and had a pleasant experience overall. The food tasted delicious, and the waiter, who was from America, provided excellent service. He was polite and attentive, ensuring my drink arrived with my meal and displaying great customer service throughout our dining experience.While the taste of the food was impressive, I did notice that the vegetables were lukewarm, which was a bit disappointing. However, this minor flaw was overshadowed by everything else the restaurant had to offer.The view, especially during sunset, was stunning and added to the ambiance of our evening. Overall, despite the lukewarm vegetables, we had a wonderful time and would consider visiting again.

I visited here for my birthday and was not amused hearing that someone had been put at my reserved table and having yo wait for about a half hour before being seated. Other than that, the wait staff was courteous, engaging, and helpfulThe food was delicious and the view from the table was nice.

Wow! Wow! Wow! 5* experience!!We came to Primo after lots of looking about online and reading ratings, and my goodness thank god we did because everything was immaculate. We showed up without a booking, which for any restaurant can sometimes be a strain but for Harriett (I think that's the ladies' name at the front desk) it was no problem, we just needed to make sure we were out by a certain time which was more than enough time to relax, enjoy our food and appreciate the surroundings - which by the way is incredible!! Hallum, our waiter was friendly, kind, a lovely soul and very professional! Thank you both so much for welcoming us into your restaurant, we will return 100% and more than likely with family and friends. I will always recommend Primo!We had a fabulous time!

Right on Little Bay. Great views. At the start of St Lawrence Gap.My wife ordered the lamb shank. She thought it was tasty but too little lamb.I had the barracuda blackened and it was great.Recommend that you reserve your time so you get a seat by the water.

The location is great especially if you get a table overlooking the sea. Service is friendly. But sadly the food was a complete let down. The coconut shrimp was a small portion for $30 and quite bland. Same for the Bajan basket. Even the plantain chips were average. The dark & stormy co*cktail was also quite dull. Maybe it were the dishes I chose but overall I can’t recommend this restaurant

Staff very attentive and friendly and the setting was beautiful, ordered roast chicken and mashed potato, my mash was cold and the chicken was in a very thick glaze/gravy which wasn't very nice, we were a big party and majority said food was lovely but sadly for me it missed the mark... my friend had tuna on a beetroot mash and was delighted 😋

Had Breadfruit chips and bread from their bar snacks, and the bread was like rubber. The chips were good with the garlic aioli. I had the chicken tacos because I wasn't in the mood for fish that night, and oh how I regretted it. It was very bland, and I ended up using the remaining garlic aioli from the breadfruit chips to give it flavor. My groups fish dishes were said to be great by them, and I trust their judgment. The staff was lovely, nice drinks and atmosphere. I plan to try there again.

The team was working really hard. In fact in hindsight they were probably understaffed but the service was nice. The soup was served with the saltfish at first stranded on the plate and then the soup poured for effect. I get what they were going for but it was just too pretentious for what it needed to be. Food was good but i wasn't blown away. Right by the water so the atmosphere was nice.

Such a beautiful restaurant, with nice staff and an amazing seaside view. The food was wonderful, and since I was there celebrating my birthday, they brought out a lovely dessert that was just divine. Will be visiting again👍

Great location right at the start of St. Lawrence Gap that overlooks the bay. The atmosphere is perfect as we had a table overlooking the water - make sure to get a reservation to get a good spot. Mia, our server, was outstanding and extremely friendly. We found the food to be good and responsibly priced. The only complaint was the speed of service was a little slow and it could have been because of Mother's Day. Overall, we would visit again.

This is my second time visiting this establishment. The first time was in September 2023 & I was served undercooked chicken. Actually, the middle was completely raw. I informed & showed the server & she took it away. Nothing more was said to me or even an offer of a replacement. When we asked for the bill, they had charged me for the meal I didn’t get to eat. I told the server that I shouldn’t have to pay for something that was inedible. She (the server) just looked at me then said “ Only the manager can take it off the bill”.I then had to say “Can I speak to the manager please?”.She went away and came back about 5 minutes later and had taken my meal off the bill. The manager never spoke to me.2nd visit March 2024.I had a couple of drinks and ordered some fish cakes to take away. I had had these during my last visit and they were quite nice.The drinks were nice but I couldn’t taste any alcohol. I am not a drinker and usually after 1 drink in Barbados, I’m a little bit tipsy & I had 2 & was fine. You make your own decision about that!When I got back to my hotel I saw that the fish cakes were a lot smaller in size and they didn’t give me any sauce/dip. They do not taste half as good without the dip. Fishcakes need the dip.When I come back to beautiful Barbados, I will not be frequenting this establishment again. They’ve had enough undeserved money from me!

Staff are very laid back, which I know is Barbados people and they are lovely. But I ordered a rum and co*ke and a glass of wine. I got a rum punch instead of a rum and co*ke, when I went to pay the bill I was charged for a bottle of wine at $65 . Staff weren’t interested when I highlighted the fact. Be careful.

Absolutely love this place ! Top of my list is the INCREDIBLE service! The staff literally makes you feel like you're the only customer in the place! They smile, laugh have fun with you all the while hecking in to see if you need anything, when your drink is almost empty, they cone almost immediately your plates are done to take them away.... AWESOME service! The fish cakes and chicken wings are superb!!! Great time out, with great food, service and it's fast!

St. Lawrence Gap Sharkeys is the Best my husband and I went 2/3/23 at 3pm and the food was out of this world , the margaritas on point and the STAFF is wonderful and friendly the best place to come , they make you feel so comfortable and welcomed and made sure we was ok with water and anything else , I highly recommend this place , awesome super awesome, food is GREAT

Once again looking for somewhere to watch FIFA World Cup and found Sharley's.Lots of TVs, good service, and good food.We watched the first match of the day and wished we had stayed.We shared the chicken nachos and they were very good.

Best burgers ever! Been here 4 times and still not fed up of them, I'm going to miss these when we fly back home. They are tastier burgers than the Uk! Highly recommend!

Solid spot near the Gap. Music, fun vibes. Bartender made me a mocktail with fresh fruit, was exactly what I was looking for. We ordered the Flying fish and catch of the day. Tourist beware. Lively looking place with overpriced food/drink (normal for the area). We ordered a desert which never arrived and then the manager refused to take it off the bill. That's the kind of experience and service you can expect. Not a clue about customer service. Many better alternatives along Dover Road.

Our go to restaurant for our first night in Barbados. An excellent bar fir the local vibe and surprisingly a large selection of foods on their menu. Service is always quick and the bar atmosphere is top notch. My first choice is always the sticky baby back ribs!

Another recommendation from our friends and we visited twice. Wow the burger was probably the best I have ever had. Chips however on our first visit as pictured were not the best bit soft and greasy, but this didn't stop us returning. The restaurant has a great vibe busy with those just wanting a co*cktall and or those wanting to eat. Nachos are huge, we returned as we liked the vibe and my wife wanted to have the burger having had the chicken one first time round that had plantain in it, first time experience and not to her taste :) Prices are reasonable I was told the co*cktails are good but I stuck with the Banks.You have to give this place a try unless you want a silent meal then its not for you.

One of the most romantic dinner spots in Barbados. Service was great (thanks Diana!) and the menu has a lovely and wide variety of Indian and Thai dishes. Vegan and vegetarian options are available. Get there on time for sunset if you can.

I'm going to have to give this restaurant a 2 and it pains me to but I have to. I loved their location in St. Lawrence Gap. The decor was beautiful and authentic and the food was delicious even if service was a bit slow. Because I loved this restaurant so much, I decided to give their little takeout shop a try. Now that they've downsized, they still expect to charge restaurant prices for takeout. The thing is, I enjoyed their food so much whenever I went to their restaurant, I would've paid the price but no one came out to even offer me a menu. It was sitting at the desk and I could see an employee just standing there and the cook in the back. The reception isn't inviting at all and neither are the prices. I'd look somewhere else for good Indian takeout. Tagores is worse though so beware.

While the food was okay, I felt quite disappointed with the portions. After spending $70 on what I thought I would be able to share (and was advertised as “large”), there was barely enough for a single individual to feel satisfied, particularly at that price. I would have been satisfied had the prices been 30% of what they were for how little food was provided. There are plenty of other affordable options in Coverley if you are in the area and need food.

We ordered a takeaway - mild chicken madras for two with peshwari naan and raita. Like Jonathan Singh, we found the portions laughable for BBD75. Three small pieces of chicken each when we served it out. When we got it it looked very small so we asked if they were sure it was for two. “It is if you share it” was the sarcastic reply. So it clearly was meant to be that small or the staff were pulling a fast one.The peshwari naan was nothing like - no taste of coconut, almonds and sultanas in whatever was filling it while the raita was basically liquid yoghurt with nothing added.Very poor quality and quantities. I don’t know where all the high star reviews come from but they all mention ocean views and there aren’t any ocean views to be had in Coverley!!!

My fiancé and I really enjoyed our Valentine’s Day dinner here. The food and atmosphere were excellent, but we never quite figured out who was our server and we felt a little abandoned at the end (thus the 4* rating). They had a price fixe menu, and we loved everything we tried (both Indian and Thai). Nice wine list with a range of prices.

Food is good but portions are somewhat small and the menu is pricey. The view and atmosphere are excellent! Nice experience overall.

Beautiful setting, delicious food and great service. There is a wide variety of Indian and Thai dishes. The co*cktails were fabulous and we had a great time watching the sunset. Definitely worth a visit.

On 02/27, my partner and I were searching for a place to go and relax as his birthday weekend had come to an end. We were walking through St Lawrence Gap and happened upon Crave and saw that there were 2 and 3 for 1 drink specials. After enquiring with one of the servers, she confirmed the restaurant being open as well as the drink specials. After entering the establishment, we decided to order some drinks and get some finger foods (as seen in the photos). We thoroughly enjoyed them but what made the evening more special was the service from our server Jamario (apologies if the name is misspelt). Definitely recommended, would go back again.

Nice atmosphere and good grilled fish that was about itKids ordered macaroni was literally double cream with pasta inedible, mentioned to the waitress she just shrugged, the fish came withash and not rice as stated, mentioned this, rice was fetched over, but was over cooked and soggy like mush, over priced for the quality and nothing addressed when it was mentioned to the staff, will not return and would not recommendPhoto of the good fish and you. Update, post reply: Thank you for your reply, but this sounds like a denial of what we witnessed. Unfortunately, two of your staff are not following the government guidelines on how to properly wear their masks. There are government videos online. This means you are not following protocols properly. It may be difficult to enforce resistant customers, but we saw it being ignored. You do have full control over your staff. Hopefully now that it’s been pointed out, you will address this, so as to help control the spread. I’ll check back.UPDATE 2: Nope. Still not following mask protocol. See photo.ORIGINAL: I’d give this two more stars, as the food is very very good, as was the music. The issue is that the place makes us very nervous. The doorman/greeter wears his mask so that his nose is mostly uncovered. He stands very close while trying to entice you in, then he wanders around inside like this. One waitress wore her mask the same way. Also, some customers arrive with their noses completely uncovered, and the staff say nothing. No enforcement when people get up from their tables maskless to go to the washroom.It’s bad that I have to write a negative review over such a thing for such a good restaurant, especially when Barbados’ numbers are sort of high. This is partly why. It would be so simple to first set the example, then enforce the rules.

This is a friendly place to go for food in the evening. Reasonable menu, though more variety in the starters would be helpful. Good prices reflected the quality of the food. Tasty and well cooked but not the absolute pinnacle of quality. Great ambience with a selection reggae providing the background music. Probably a 4.5 rather than 5 star.

The food was good. Plating could have been better…a bit of garnish. Chicken stir fry and braised lamb chop. Server, Chad was attentive and efficient. Drawback a few people were smoking at the bar but we were outside on the patio. If paying by credit card you have to go to the bar to pay. Should have a way to bring the machine to the table.

We came 5 years ago and we were so happy to see it was still here. The food is divine, the atmosphere is amazing but the most impressive thing is the professionalism, helpfulness and friendliness of the waiters and waitresses, especially the 18 year old waitress who was, at the time of our visit, (Tues 19 Dec 2023) wearing a santa hat, thank u so much for looking after us so well and with a smile 😃 a huge credit to Craves Restaurant.Live music every night I think. We were 1st to be seated and they took our order right away offering happy hour, soup of the day, and catch of the day. It was good, a small bone in the Marlin. Then we waited and waited to order dessert and had to ask. Then we almost left as the waitress passed us numerous times without checking on us. No water, no check. The table next to us was also frustrated.

We were delighted to find this establishment The Crave Restaurant .We dined there nearly every night as the food was so good and tasty 😋 The restaurant is well laid out and is pleasing to the eye with foliage and pretty lights making eating here very enjoyable .We dined here 3 nights out of the 4 when we were in 🇧🇧. Most nights they had different entertainment which was very enjoyable to listen to while enjoying our meals.Sabrina looked after us and she was very attentive and friendly a lovely girl and great ambassador for restaurant. You will get a good choice of food hot and tasty and reasonably priced .5 stars 🌟 🤩

Without doubt the best place I had breakfast in Barbados. There weren’t many places where I felt I got good value or indeed quality whilst in Barbados but here I got both in abundance. The owners are super cool and friendly too, you can tell they are genuine and care about their customers.

The service was great, the food was really good. I got their red velvet pancakes and they were delicious and they werent too sweet which is good for me. The only thing I didnt like was the chickens because they can get a little rowdy and they leave droppings everywhere.

What a great find, I researched this place before flying out knowing it was close to our hotel. Wow what a gem of a little place, service was fantastic friendly team. Food fresh and hot, I loved the omelette and on a few occasions added some sausages to the side and they were nice to, not fatty or greasy. My wife had the scrambled eggs often and the girls switched between a few set menus. Prices are fair, we didn’t eat at lunch time as tended to manage with breakfast until the evening so can’t comment on the day menu. Visiting in July we always managed to get a table without a wait in the mornings.You have to try this place out if staying on or close to the gap.

If I could give 10 starts for the service and food I would! My husband and I have just returned from Barbados/Dover Beach and wish we could walk across to eat at Nick’s place- truly Happy Days! Genuine, Accommodating, Friendly! Regardless of how busy, Nick and his wife got, they always took time to meet every guest and have a quick catch up! If you want a wholesome, home away from home cooked meal…this is the place to go. We tried the omelet, pancakes, various eggs- always perfect. And out of all the coffee places we tried; this was the best coffee I had on the island. Look forward to returning!

Had the best time at this cafe! Went every day (sometimes twice a day) during our stay in Barbados. Great food and lattes! Nick and Ruth are so kind and created a great space to grab breakfast. Don’t pass up on the red velvet pancakes, I wish I had gotten a photo of those. They are thin and not too much, perfect to eat for a mid day pick me up and still feel comfortable to head to the beach! Can’t wait to see Nick and Ruth again during our next visit. A nice café with good food and friendly staff, but the chickens here are especially aggressive because the tourists keep feeding them. I've seen tourists literally throwing food on the floor to witness the chickens running around. Extremely disrespectful behaviour. The company needs to put signs on the tables to stop the tourists from feeding the chickens. I had one chicken jump on my lap a few months ago to take food off my plate. Ordinarily, a chicken would leave you alone – like they do elsewhere in Barbados – but because so many tourists are feeding these animals here, the chickens in this area behave differently. Again, the company desperately needs to put signs up. Chickens and monkeys in Barbados are wild animals. They must not be fed or approached under any circ*mstances.

Super tasty breakfast place nestled in a courtyard of souvenir shops. We had the French toast and pancakes and both were delicious. The cafe owner and staff are super friendly and there was a nice relaxed vibe. It's a popular spot and accepts card payments. We loved watching the chickens roam around!

This is our return visit to Dover Beach and Happy Days was our first breakfast visit, we weren't disappointed! We had an array of food between our party of 6 from traditional breakfast, omelettes, pancake stacks and cinnamon toast. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it, it was plentiful tasty and good value for money. It will definitely be part of our breakfast plan during our stay. And as always Nick, Ruth and the team were perfect hosts 😎

Beautiful place for breakfast. I had the most delicious red velvet pancakes with blueberries, whipped cream and maple syrup. The coffee was great and so was the freshly squeezed orange juice. The cafe is close to Dover Beach and the service was from all members of staff was so kind, calm, friendly and welcoming.

The food took over 1.5 hours to arrive, on a drizzly Tuesday morning. There are 11 tables here so it's not a huge establishment, therefore we don't feel the wait time was really necessary.We had one hot dog, 3 pancake meals, and a fry up. Plus 5 soft drinks. $236 BBD.The chaps waiting on were pleasant enough, but for the wait times and cost, we would not return.

I had banana pancakes, they were okay but I wouldn't get them again. The caramel latte was okay but needed to be hotter. The place itself was hard to find because Google maps stops you before the bit you have to turn down to find it but the locals are friendly and helped me find it. The service was good and they were friendly so I might go back and try something else.

Amazing breakfast - so nice to watch the chickens and chicks too! Breakfast in a really cool spot with w lovely view of the brightly coloured chattel houses. We had an omelette and French toast and it was perfection!

Literally the best restaurant on the beach in the Gap. It's so chic. Perfect for a late lunch or drinks on the beach.

Very nice place to eat. The staff is very nice. I do feel the food is overpriced. I do feel the food needs more seasoning but they probably cater to more Europeans which don't have as seasoned food as a local West Indian would. My kids said the food was OK. But again they are used to more seasoned food. Others might love here. It has an amazing view of beach and ocean. There are plenty of crabs roaming around at night of you eat at the restaurant on the beach. I like it. On Wednesday night there are fire dancers and a steel pan player. I enjoyed it. The Guave Cheesecake was probably my favorite part of dinner.

It was our 1st stop, when we landed in Barbados, I had a burger, it was sooo good. I never got a chance to go back and get another before leaving this beautiful island. The co*cktails were really good as well. Totally recommend the food there, and the beach there is so lovely... definitely stop by grab some food and drinks and take a bath in beach there before you leave.

Truly enjoyed having dinner here it was a unique experience and one I hope to repeat before leaving Barbados. The food was spectacular well seasoned very tasty. The chef has a new menu and it was well executed!!! The service was A-class I cannot remember our server's name but he was special, very attentive and pleasantly attended to our every need. I only looked up and he was there. The decor and venue was very modern chic, and the view, spectacular. Will highly recommend.

The setting is quite beautiful. We were excited to try somewhere new as we already have our favs that we frequent. We were super disappointed. First they sprayed our hand with Beep disinfectant spay because they ran out of hand sanitizer. We had to head to bathroom immediately because it was super disgusting. I didn't mind the prices; but for a $45 burger, you'd expect at least a 6oz patty. It was less than a 1/4" thick Which made it impossible for them to grill it medium. It came burnt the first time and I sent it back. Should have left at that point. However, decided to give them a 2nd chance. Again it came extremely thin and they added the pickle and onion I requested not to have. Made me sick after biting into it not expecting the pickle and onions. My friend had the English fish and chips. It came with 2 fillets; it was more batter than fish. Made her very sick when she got home. It's a waste of money. Unless you have drinks and enjoy the view, which you can do for free if you take a cooler on the beach.

We stopped for dinner. I had the catch of the day (tuna) and my wife had the chicken dinner. Both were very good.We were very surprised that the restaurant wasn't busier.Right on the ocean.

The food was very nice, just not enough of it, I had the fall off the bone ribs, they are good, very good but expect to be hungry when you've finished, 3 little ribs and 2 scoops of mash is probably a starter, yes I get that portions are set for a full 3 course meal but I just want a full plate, 3 ribs isn't. I'll recommended them, but get 2 maybe 3 plates if you are feeling flush. The downside to the service for me was that they tried adding an extra meal to the menu, mistake or not but 4 people ordering 4 meals doesn't take much of working out.

We‘ve been at this place twice already. The food was tasty, the service friendly and the atmosphere next to the ocean awesome.We‘ll come back soon.

I liked this place. The good is pretty good when it's good, but the problem is it's not consistent. I was here for a week and ordered the same thing at this restaurant probably 4-5 times (Cajun chicken pasta) and each time it was a different amount of chicken, different amount of spice, etc. Some were absolutely better than others, but all good. I see a lot of people commenting on the wait time but I feel like that is pretty normal for the area. We didn't mind. Great view from the restaurant.

Pure Ocean has a simple menu but it really delivers. A simple and elegant but slightly casual dining area right on the beach, away from the bustle of the gap with the sound of the waves lapping the shore. But do not be fooled by the lack of frills, its all about the food. Stunning dishes, packed full of flavour and clearly well sourced fresh ingredients, all beautifully presented. Complimented with a good range of co*cktails.

If I'd been writing this review a week ago it would have been a much different review as our experience was much better . Today however it was totally the opposite .Our server today was miserable and abrupt and she really didn't want to be there , my advice to her is to seek another job if she's that unhappy in her work.I wonder if there's any staff training as this might help them realise how important the staff are to the customer experience .As I am a disabled person and have mobility problems I asked if they would call a taxi , the response was that they in the restaurant couldn't call a taxi but I could walk to the main reception in the hotel to which the restaurant was a part of , this was 300/400 yard walk .Having said all this , there was no problem getting a taxi the week before . It was the attitude of the staff that was causing the problem.After making a fuss and not very happy staff , a taxi did arrive but all in all it was not pleasant and spoilt our experience at an ocean front restaurant that we visit every time we go to Barbados but maybe not any more .

First impression was nice, a kind staff member stated to ignore the off putting signs stating guests only etc. so we came back later for ‘happy’ hour. We had 2 co*cktails, both were generally lacking and missing very basic ingredients. We paid -the 2 4 1 was basically double price of the much nicer establishments in the area- then a staff member comes chasing us down the beach stating we have not paid! We were marched back to the bar in an undignified manner having been publicly denounced and when the other staff member confirmed we have paid (for our overpriced, lacking drinks) there was no real sense of apology from him either.Needless to say, we did not return.Just don’t bother- there are plenty of other places in Dover with nice views, good drinks with great service.

Small, well-known local restaurant. Great food and really friendly staff. We ate well and are very happy!! Maria, who supervises, is doing a fantastic job because everything runs smoothly. We were standing outside after supper, and she even came out and asked if we were OK or wanted a taxi!! That is above and beyond 6 stars in my book!!

Food here is always great. Wasn't the biggest fan of having to wait almost an hour for a simple burger but surely wasn't disappointed when I got it.

Great location, love the jerk chicken ( not authentic but good never the less). I like the outdoor dining and the atmosphere.

We were two for dinner around 6 pm on a Saturday and there already was a queue 6-deep to order. We waited about 35 min for our food. The staff worked their tails off in the little kitchen kiosk. Portions are generous. Traffic circling the seating area is exhausting! Recommended.

The food was really good but we didn't have a clue what to do. You wait in line at the kiosk and order and pay for your food and drink. Find a place at a table and wait for your number to be called. You go back to the kiosk and pick up your food and cutlery. The drinks you pick up at another kiosk anytime after paying and ordering them. The food was very good we had chicken wraps and fries, the second time cheese burger with coleslaw and fries which were really good

Food is great! Staff is friendly and really works hard. Fast service considering how busy they get. Great value "for Barbados". The place is also very clean.The adjacent coffee place, ice cream and taco places in the same plaza are also good. 👍

Just went to Just Grillin for my first meal in Barbados and they didn't disappoint. I went with the jerk chicken sandwich which comes with the choice of two sides. I went with the macaroni pie and the rice and peas. The sandwich had a healthy portion of jerk chicken on it and was flavourful with a good kick. The chicken was grilled to perfection all in all a 10/10 sandwich. The macaroni pie was delicious , not the cheesiest I've ever had but solid. The rice and peas came with a topping of marinara sauce which was good but different. I would have rather had some gravy from some ox tail or jerk chicken on top. The Banks was cold, great way to wash down the meal. Great value for $28BDS.The place was packed but we were still able to get a seat and only had to wait about 15 mins for our order to be up.Just as good as I remember it in 2018. Would recommend and will return.

This is one of my favourite and regularly stops when I'm on the island. Foods fresh, tasty and never disappoints. I have craving for the bbq ribs served here, simply delicious and nearly always have them on every visit tho they do do a good piece of jerk chicken here too. All main meals comes with 2 sides and range from BB$36-BB$42. Definitely worth a visit. Outdoors seating.

Came here everyday throughout my stay at accra. Best food on the street and not bad in prices. 80 dollars usd for their most priced foods for 3 people. Coffee shop beside it, the french vanilla latte was the best for the morning.

Me and my wife had a long day before arriving in Barbados. We met an older couple who is very nice and sweet and recommend this restaurant. The food was very good and filling and the staff is awesome !!!

Great food and the portions were perfect. I had shrimp with grilled potatoes and corn on the cob. My hubby had the grilled shrimp with rice and coleslaw.

The atmosphere is fantastic, lively and warm. The service is great but know if you get there after 7 you have to wait on your food, the crowd (the night i went) was large and predominantly tourists.

I ordered co*ke and drumstick and thigh combo. Food was nice. Fried chicken was crispy and grilled potatoes were savory. The singer's song made the atmosphere there good.But co*ke was flat. And I had to wait almost 40mins after I order. Also when I ordered, I can't hear and understand server's some words. Because, Im not good at English and there was not quiet. At that time, her expression embarrassed me.

Amazing place! Great vibes on a Monday! Good time with the locals. And wonderful singers at karaoke night.The owner was so kind and friendly. Definitely a place I'd return to for good vibes.

We've eaten....and had the odd drink or 3 several times during our stay. The food is really good, not complicated but tasty and always hot. The service is excellent.. The entertainment is really good and well worth coming just for that.

What a great evening we had here! 2 for 1 co*cktails up until 8pm and they start at 7 dollars or £2.80, for a Rum Punch. I had chicken and my wife had the Swordfish. Afterwards there was a singer on, who was happy to take requests. She was excellent 👏. We also had a boogie, which a few people did, including families with children. Overall a great atmosphere and a great evening. We'll be back.

The food was ok,but there are better establishments nearby which offer better value, service and quality of food. The main issue here is we had extremely poor service but was still forced to pay the 15% service charge, with no apologies or courtesy, which is a shame as Justin at the beginning was courteous and polite.

Happy hour, good food and live music makes for a great evening. Dawn (from Nova Scotia) brings Canadian east coast hospitality to Barbados creating a special atmosphere. Different than the other restaurants/bars in The Gap, My Friend's Place is a must visit.

I am really enjoying the live music here and having a few drinks. A very relaxed open air atmosphere with the nice Caribbean breezes. Really a delightful place. The live music entertainers have amazing voices. On Wednesday and Saturday nights they have live music and happy hour from 7pm to 8pm. You should come and check it out and pass a good time as they say here in Barbados. I was totally surprised by this. It is just across the street and caty corner from Infinity on the Beach hotel. This is all the better since it is my first time back in Barbados in 50 years since I went to boarding school here. WOW time flies.

Brianna was our waitress (the best -ask for her). Dawn is the owner (lovely lady from Halifax). Evedean was the singer. It's in the St Lawrence Gap. A must visit when you go to Barbados. You will be glad for the experience.

My friend and I were in search of somewhere to dine and we came across My Friends Place which had live entertainment. Yes I was hungry but they had me at live entertainment! So we had dinner there that night and I wasn't disappointed; the music was lovely and the food, tasty!

there is honestly nothing special about this place... food is ok, the flying fish was over fried and dry... you are basically sitting outdoors by the street. i ordered a rum and co*ke, there was a fly in the ice...i told the waitress to bring another. she did and when I got the bill, she charged me for two. i asked why, she said she didnt give me a drink with a fly, that the fly flew in after LOL. i didnt make a fuss and just paid.... as much as i go to barbados, i will never go back there.

Went on a recommendation from a fellow hotel guest. Restaurant is basic, plastic chairs & tables, next to a road & across from a sports area but the food was awesome. We had ribs & shrimps & both were cooked really well & delicious. The ribs were soft & fell off the bone the sauce was tasty & lots of chips. My shrimp (I had 7) were tangy & slightly spicy & the macaroni pie was good. 3 banks for $12 barnadian & the meal was complete.

I visited this restaurant on independence day and the atmosphere was phenomenal, the service was great and let me talk about the food, mouth watering!!! Unfortunately it smelled too good for me to take a photo before diving in but I had the Jerk chicken, the flavors were bouncing off my tongue. I have a high tolerance for spice however the spice was just right for it to be flavorful and not painful. 10/10 would recommend.

Popular street bar by Dover Beach square. A good range of traditional and fast foods at good prices and multi buy deals on beers. Service and food quality can suffer when very busy, but the locals can usually be entertaining while you wait. The bill quite often has items missing during busy periods, but staff extremely grateful when errors are pointed out! Cash only.

Great price woth great food. Maybe we got a wrong day but the waitress was not too friendly. But the food was AMAZING! Pretty spicy and seasoned. After a day on Dover beach you don’t need to walk far fir a cold drink and an array of lical seafood. Flying fish, marlin, swordfish, mahi mahi all on the menu. Dont expect fine dining but expect nothing but the finest food and inexpensive drinks. You won’t be turned away if your in your beach attire either.

We ate in Daddy's on 24th of December 2022. Had Jerk Chicken, fish sandwich and few beers. Service very good and food very tasty. We loved it and when back in Barbados will definitely visit again! Recommend if in the area to try!

This is the best place in Dover. And it's the best place in St. Lawrence Gap to get a decent affordable meal. Everything is made to order, the food tastes great and the prices are very reasonable. EVERYBODY GOES HERE!! This is a must, if you're not looking for a fancy place and you just want something good.

I’d never eaten here before on previous trips to Barbados but my sister had and raved about it. This place is right on Dover Beach about 400 meters to the sea which is a nice touch.I ordered ribs and chips and it took it sweet time coming I can tell you that. Granted it was evening and the place was buzzing with music and people having a drink and good time but the food took it’s time. It tasted really good so no real complaints there, it was a bit more pricey than those around it though.I’d definitely eat here again but maybe chose a moment when it’s quiet. As you can near enough see it from the beach it’s not so bad to pick and choose your moments to go over.

What a gem. We stumbled across Daddy’s while looking down St Lawrence Gap and what an excellent find. We went there everyday for a drink as the atmosphere was so good and the prices much better than anywhere else. We had lunch and are planning to go back for more food . In fact the food is better there than the larger restaurants. Everyone visiting Dover Beach or Maxwell beach should try it.

Our Airbnb owner recommended us this place and it was a great recommendation! Cool people working there, cheap local food! My friend said it was one of the best fishes in the island. I really like their rum punch:)May get crowded in the evenings!

My husband and I went to mimosas for breakfast he had an omelette with toast and bacon and I had the French toast with some bacon on the side one word to die for so Delicious and later on in the evening we went for dinner and got a pizza very very good thin cheese pizza that I loved and enjoyed , the grilled chicken salad was also tasty and the margaritas were on point . Must try this restaurant won’t regret it the staff is super friendly and kind and attentive and the bonus of this Restaurant you are enjoying the nice view of the ocean and the breeze. The Bar has all kinds of liquor , A must visit , I shall say that we were lucky to sit because sometimes you have to call for a reservation. But they will still sit you with out one . Which is awesome

Had lunch here with my daughter.The atmosphere was nice except for the flies as soon as the food came out.The food portions were generous and the taste of the food was decent, however, the chef took our request for well-done burgers way too seriously as they were both burned on one side. Also, I've had way better whiskey sours elsewhere. Despite this, my princess enjoyed her time and her meal. She also got a brownie and ice cream treat from the management and staff for her birthday which she loved.

Soooo expensive, but hands down the best meal I had in Barbados. Everything was cooked to perfection, made to perfection. The service was quick and friendly. The views are amazing. Everything was great, but just really expensive.

Delicious food and lovely setting. Staff were so friendly and helpful. The gluten-free linguine Alfredo was so flavoursome. I enjoyed the selection of different mimosas including a passion fruit one and my husband loved his espresso martini.

Wonderful view and good food. Perfect for sunset views. Experienced the fish cakes here and returned for them again. You can only get your hamburger well done (but could just be quality control...the guys in my group ordered those, silly men...eat fish!!!)

We visited the south coast and stopped in the Oistins for lunch, we decided to pick something “Italian” food was decent (considering we’re in the Caribbean) great co*cktails and drinks, very clean bathrooms and AMAZING VIEW!! Excellent service , as all Barbados, love the people. Definitely a must visit place. Photos speak for themselves.

It was my first time there, and everything was impressive. Food quality, taste, and portions are all good. Service was exceptional...ladies did a great job. The atmosphere: the sound of the waves gently crashing below, the music, the sound of happiness from the other patrons enjoying themselves....all great!

I went with my kids for a breakfast. To my surprise, they had a little kids area inside as well as outside. Staff was friendly and atmosphere was good. We went on a hot sunny day but still experienced a pleasant breeze throughout our stay. Highly recommend.

Last October, I visited here with my parents. When we drank coffee after had lunch, place almost broke because storm. Everyone was afraid, servers too. But they made us to evacuate. I visited Mimosa's twice while on vacation with my husband and son. The food was amazing, service was excellent, the server was friendly, kind and so helpful, ambiance was excellent and the restaurant was very clean, especially the bathroom. I had the mango co*cktail twice with my meal on my two visits, that drink is sooooooo delicious!!!!! The first time I visited I had wings and the second time I had the catch of the day, all were very tasty. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Stopped by for breakfast and found this little gem. We both had the smoked salmon delight, and it certainly was a delight! The fluffiest brioche-like toast topped with perfectly cooked poached eggs, avocado, smoked salmon, and brie! - a new one for me but it worked so well. Probably my favourite breakfast during our stay.We had iced lattes and pineapple juices which were also great, service was friendly and the setting is outdoors but under a cool cover with lots of plants and little birds flying around, a lovely spot all round!

We went 2 times for diner. Steak is delicious!! Only thing i would like to mention for the restaurant: First time we went the cheese cake dessert was fantastic. Second time we went it was the Saturday right before the new curfew. Maybe they didn't make much because of this but the cheese cake i got was totally different then the one from the first time. Think it's important to have consistency in the food your serving. That aside, I would recommend this restaurant as the steak was superb!

Have to recommend the Bajan Jerk Chicken it was great especially if you like more spice to your food. The pizza was good said rated a 7 out of a 10 not something they would rave about but good. And Chicken with tomato sauce was good - sauce didn't taste like it came from a can which was good.Service was good waitress was very friendly and genuinely nice. There was no wait time to sit and food came at a good pace for a quick bite we would go again.

I like this restaurant's location that it is close to other popular places. Foods are good both quality and quantity. I visited in the morning, a little hot through out daytime, but it may be cooler at night. Would recommend try out if hang out around here.

Decent place. Food is good. Service is excellent just like any other Brazillian BBQ place. It's all you can eat. So come with an empty stomach. Also a bit pricey but I wouldn't say it is not worth it.

Food was pretty good, there are lots of meat options besides steak (chicken, lamb, pork, fish, etc.). Some meat served well done although we asked for medium rare. Overall it was a fun experience but on the pricey side ($75 US pp, though we went on New Year’s Eve so it might be less expensive usually).

Beautiful view, decent food, lots of food. A little different than you get in the US, but you won't leave disappointed (or hungry).

Buffet portion was average. Biggest problem was that my wife kept getting passed over by the staff. They wouldn't even ask her if she wanted anything. At first I thought certain meats were for certain tables, because I said I had preferred near well done and I saw they took the extra cooked meat to certain people. My wife prefers medium, but they didn't even bring out anything for her. Didn't ask if she wanted the pork or chicken, and didn't even bring out mahi mahi until I finally said something. It was not great either. I finally had to start asking my wife if she wanted anything in front of the waiter to get his attention towards her. I don't know if it is because she is a small petite woman, but ruined her first Brazilian steakhouse experience.

May not look like anything from the outside, but it has the best meat on the island. Very flavorful selection of meat and a nice side buffet to start. The open air dining across from the water make the ambience very cozy. I come every time Im in Barbados.

There are many better places hereabouts. Service abysmal. When we arrived we ordered drinks, after ten minutes decided to chase - I'll check was the answer. After a further five minutes asked again to be told they were working on it. Quite why it takes this long to bring two bottles of wine, a beer and two orange juices is beyond me. After yet another five minutes I tackled the waitress yet again and shortly afterwards we got our drinks. To show that this is not just a negative review I am pleased to note that my sirloin steak was pretty good, others who had the flying fish reported that it wasn't very good and the portion was tiny.The management of this place need to sort the staff out if they had been more efficient they probably would have sold us more drinks, deserts, coffee, etc.I love Caipirinhas, and we fancied some Latin food for the night so were chuffed to have passed this place a few times. We should have kept walking...The service was so slow, even for drinks menus that we eventually went to get our own. Once decided we watched the two staff in the restaurant ignore us trying to catch their eye to order, they'd seen us sit ourselves down, so I don't know what they thought we might be doing - other than waiting.Tired with waiting we went to the bar to get our own drinks, where the one bar lady was run off her feet serving the few people around and talking orders for those the waiting staff actually had taken orders for.Drinks were ok, and I've tasted many caipirinhas. We had to literally yell across the restaurant for someone to finally come over and we ordered just nachos, as we now had drinks, were peckish but didn't really want to stay.When they finally came back they were lukewarm with congealed cheese on like they'd been pre-prepared and left in waiting.Even paying the bill was a chore...But, There were four of us in our dinner party and we all ordered different meals. All the meals came out at different times and by the time the last meal arrived two of us were already finished. I ordered the flying fish and it was over cooked and dry. It was not busy here and the service could have been a bit faster. One person in our party ordered The blackened shrimp Caesar salad in a tortilla bowl and she said it was good except for the bowl. It was hard and stale. We were told the burgers were home made but they were obviously frozen. They were good but not homemade.

Overpriced, cold buffet was very small, not covered and stood on by flies. Dessert buffet laughable. Lovely staff but ridiculously overpriced and lacking in areas.

The food was so good and they have soooooo much meats. My experience with the staff was great and the location has a great view of the ocean and a nice sized parking lot.

Had Sunday morning breakfast at On The Bay. Great location, not too busy. Good view of the sea from the dining area. Our group ordered the Big Up Bajan Breakfast, Hearty English Breakfast and The Bay Stack. The food was delicious and everyone enjoyed their meals.

I was treated like a king. Which is nice compared to a nearby place that was not open as advertised. I was not compensated in any manner for this review. Really good time. They have a house drink that they make that is real delicious. On some nights they have a live band performance that plays reggae and all sorts of music. Real talented group. The inside is air conditioned but they also gave an outdoor patio as well.

Awesome place, reopened after a long hiatus and has been great since. They have an amazing headphone party on Friday nights that is a must do for locals and visitors alike

Don’t go here! Went on a Sunday night, was told by several locals that Entry was $10 BBD, and even heard on Slam 101.1 FM. Upon. Arrival my friend gave $20 BBD to the girl at reception to cover the two of us. I went to get my wristband and the girl said no, it’s $20 each, it’s $10 US. She was very rude but because we had plans to meet someone there we just decided to pay and get in. After checking out the place for a bit and using their EXTREMELY small restrooms, literally girls were pushing past each other, we decided to go to patio area. It was there that we found a sign on a table that said $10 entry. We took the sign to girl at reception to show her and get our money back. She rudely and condescendingly said “that sign isn’t posted is it now, so it’s still $20”. In addition to the rude girl at the front the bar took forever to get drinks and the whole place is overcrowded. Waste of my money and my time. There was nothing authentic or Bajan about this place. When I’m on holiday I want to experience a local vibe not a North American vibe of a place. Could have just done that at home. Won’t be going back. Definitely rather the bar next door called The Cove, instead!

Whoop, whoop! McBrides is the place to be! I"m from Essex and the vibe at McBrides is exactly the type of place to go and experience live bands, drinks and just pure fun! Me & my girlies have a ball all the time! Best nightclub in St.Lawrence Gap! I believe its only opened from Wednesday-Sundays but its well worth the wait! 5 stars for you McBrides and I love the Irish pub decor and ambiemce too! Free drinks next time I land?😛

This is an excellent restaurant to go to for either a quick bite or to sit down and have a meal. There is a wide variety of food options to choose from and the price is very reasonable also. The variety of sauces on offer when paired well with the dish you or either eating there or taking helps to bring out the flavour within the food even more. The food is done the same time you order and does not take long to prepare, if you are taking it with you, a bonus is that you can call in advance and order what you want and by the time you get there you can pay and take it with you one time without having to wait on it. The staff is also friendly, sometimes you might have to be a little patient so they can fully understand what you want to order since their English is not the best but other than their is never a problem getting what you want.

This restaurant is pretty nice. The food is generally good and you receive plenty of food for your money. There is plenty of variety in the menu and if you want to try new dishes then this is definitely the place to dine. The ambience is unique and befitting of a Chinese Restaurant. The staff is very friendly and the service is quite good. Overall, it is an ideal Chinese Restaurant to take the entire family for a nice, adequate and fulfilling meal.

Feel bad because the staff were lovely but our experience was not great, sweet and sour chicken was like jelly and the sauce was bland. Enjoyed the chilli beef at the time but this then ruined my stomache the following day. Overall you get good portion size but the actual food lacks any real quality.

This is a Chinese restaurant at the Dover beach end of St Laurence gap. The portions were large especially the sweet and sour chicken which was huge!They always do a good Chinese meal, and i like that they put food in there instead of a lot of sauce.I had some trouble communicating my order for takeaway, but the food made up for it.

The food was excellent! OMG I ordered the shrimp, chicken,and pork lo-mein and it’s enough for two people, but of course I couldn’t help myself and ate the whole thing! I highly recommend going here multiple times if you are in Barbados.

We stayed at the Ocean 15 hotel for 6 weeks this winter and early spring. The hotel was clean and comfortable. We had a wonderful time. The service was excellent. It has a nice bar, a great restaurant, a nice little pool and a coffee bar that serves great coffee. What we appreciated the most was the great staff. From the office staff, the housekeeping staff, bartenders and servers. Anything we needed or asked for they the answer was always “no problem “. We had an issue with our shower and they bent over backwards to remedy it in less than 24 hours. That’s very unusual for Barbados.... if you’ve been here you understand “Barbados time”. It’s part of the charm of the island. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Our family 2 adults 2 young lads stayed here a few years ago.This placec is not trustworthyWe were out on a day excursion car back to our room with 3 people in it.That should not happen without your approval.We were missing my Don's gold chain from his grandmother. I honestly believe we were stocked.Once this was mentioned we were ignored and we were leaving the next day.Do not stay at this hotel very sketchy.

I'm shocked how well this place is rated. Yes, the rooms are nice, but that's literally the only thing going for it. (Spacious, nice shower with hot water, decent kitchen.)Requested early check-in, we were told "maybe in an hour", even though the room was already cleaned and vacated. Staff at the bar/restaurant rude and condescending. And the coup de grace, if you are staying here during karaoke night, prepare to be serenaded to sleep by off-tune singers screaming at the top of their lungs. We didn't have a room immediately adjacent to the bar, and there were only legitimately only 3 or 4 people at the bar, but somehow that trumps all the rooms within a 50 meter radius from getting a good nights sleep. Also, a rooster started crowing at around 3 in the morning, although in full disclosure I think the rooster was not technically on the property. Still, hands down the worst place we stayed in Barbados. You can do better, even in the same neighborhood.

Can’t comment on the rooms (never stayed there), but this is a hidden breakfast gem a little removed from The Gap. Ocean 15 has been my “go to” breakfast option since 2016. During each island visit, this is my 1st and last breakfast memory, with several more in between. I absolutely love the consistency – the local breakfast presentation is always the same and the taste is always great! Great option for kids too!

Very nice apartment hotel. It is not all inclusive but there is a bar, restaurant and pool. In the event you are looking for entertainment, it is not too far from St. lawrence gap which has a few nightclubs and bars you may attend. The rooms are nice and spacious and the kitchen has a full length fridge, a stove with and oven and it is fully stocked with utensils. I enjoyed my two day stay here and I would go again. Thanks Ocean 15 for the execllent service!!!

Friendly staff from front desk to maintenance to housekeeping to restaurant staff. They were quick to accomodate. They made our stay pleasurable. Clean rooms with ac, tv, kitchen and decent wifi connection. The only thing I would say was needed for the bathroom was a handle for the not too sure footed to step into the shower. Also we weren't able to receive overseas calls through the main office. Don't know if it's a hotel issue or Flow the phone carrier issue.The restaurant and bar area provided is not much for ambiance but they provided tastey food. The salads were a good portion and food nicely seasoned. They had karaoke nights with amateurs & professionals.

This is my "HOME" away from home. Any bad reviews from anyone who stayed here, means that they were the problem. The location, the staff, the cleanliness, the food, the warmth are all overwhelming. 5***** Five stars accommodation for three stars 3*** money. I'm well pleased!!! Visited twice in ten months and stayed for three weeks each time.

Seafood. Service. ViewWent there on a Friday night with my wife and the service was great; Kim in particular made us feel very welcomed. We got a table with an awesome view of the St Lawrence Bay. The pickled seacat and crab cakes were very tasty and I’d definitely have them again. We had 4 different co*cktails which were just ok but during happy hour they’re especially affordable. Alan Sheppard from Spice & Co was there and his live performance significantly added to the Seahorse’s enjoyable experience. Thumbs up for the Seahorse and we’d definitely return whenever he’s playing!

Well located restaurant with a nice patio. Perfect place to sit down with a nice view of the bay. Also, not loud like a bar, incase you’re looking for more of a sit down dinner spot.Prices are quite reasonable too. (Keep in mind that it’s in Bajan $. Just halve the amount to convert to US. Eg $30 on the menu is $15 US). I found the desserts to be a little on the expensive side.The manager/owner (I think) was really welcoming and listed a bunch of specials and seafood options. Was very thorough and detailed!The staff was also super friendly and made sure you got great service. Good music too.

This was THE WORST dining experience I’ve ever had!! I’m a local and decided to try this new restaurant. I saw the other reviews and said I’d give them a chance. I NEVER WRITE REVIEWS BUT IT WAS THAT BAD! DO NOT EAT HERE! The seats were empty and our food was horrible. No one could have cared or expected someone to eat what they served. It was really disrespectful to serve this repulsive food. The crab cake was like a frozen patty they microwaved and the seafood pasta wasn’t edible. The shrimp was raw, the sauce must have come out of a tin and then there was so much cheese on top I had to peel it off. That was all we ordered from the food menu with a Mojito (more simple syrup than rum) and a St. Lawrence with love (Vodka, passion fruit and Passoa) - again... disappointing to the point it was upsetting for how expensive it was especially in comparison to what you can get elsewhere which we had to do because we couldn’t actually consume anything they brought to us. Ugh... trust me, you’re better off to keep walking.

Was in St Lawrence Gap one night and decided to try Seahorse. Bad decision, the food felt like it came from cardboard boxes in the back.I had the crab cake which tasted like it was a codfish pie deep fried instead of pan seared.The seafood pizza was just as bad with white kraft cheese sauce which tasted like melted sliced cheese.I will never return.

TERRIBLE Had the Lobster thermador made with Kraft Dinner macaroni and cheese sauce. DISGUSTING!. The Cesar salad would have been nice if they served it with croutons and bacon bits it was supposed to come with - we had to ask for those and they brought them out. If I could give this ZERO out of five I would have given that rating. The waiter was smart enough not to ask us how our meal was and when I commented on the meal he just smiled.

Great selection of appetisers, mains and sides. Nice atmosphere and good service. The strip loin was excellent. The fillet would have been fabulous, but was inedible from too much salt. Shame the steaks are so inconsistent.

The meal experience we had at Butch's Chophouse, from beginning to end, was fantastic! Our service from Alex was spot on. The food and drinks were delicious. We enjoyed the signature drink - amaretto martini made by George, the many appetizers, the 30 day dry aged ribeyes, and dessert to go. Thank you, George, Alex, and team, for a wonderful dining memory.

George is a world class bartender. Food is great, service is lacking when it comes to refilling drinks, but maybe that is customary outside of the US.

The worst kitchen service. I took my family of 5 here to eat. The servers asked us nearly 9 times to ensure our order was correct and the kitchen still got it wrong. And the restaurant was completely empty. The bartender (who acted as a server) tried to ensure the kitchen got it right after they canceled our order bc they ran out of shrimp! Hence they had to ask again and again. First I had issues booking bc they didn't want to cater to parties bigger than 4. On Wednesday I was told they were full and no reservations. So I booked Thursday and even then they were hesitant to even book a party of 5. On Thursday I called to ask a question and I didn't tell them how many people and they were quick to book until I said party of 5 and they were gonna tell me they were full. But I told them we already had reservations and I had kids. Thursday night when I arrived they almost didn't want to take us 5 until I told them we had reservations. AND the place was empty!!! Only one group of people outside area. That's just service!The food was OK. Im West Indian, so I need seasoned food. My kids said the food was OK as well. Even they weren't impressed. The food might be good for Europeans but not any Ethnic ethnicity. We asked for 3 orders of Jerk Chicken and 1 BBQ. Instead they brought out 3 orders of BBQ and 1 Jerk. Again after asking us about 9 times. And because they ran out of shrimp I had to change my order of coconut shrimp to Bajan Flying fired fish. Which happened to be the best thing I ate. In short, Do NOT go eat here.

Incredible view, food, and co*cktails with lovely staff in the restaurant. Fully recommended! We had the coconut shrimp, cou cou and flying fish, more flying fish, bmw co*cktail, and a coconut margarita.

Service here was prompt and friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. I'd recommend coming for happy hour from 12-1... The lime daiquiris were delicious! I had the flying fish with vegetable rice, which also came with a fresh and tasty salad. The club sandwich and steak and cheese sandwich were also delicious. The view from the outside patio was so beautiful... I could do this everyday. We hope to be back!

We arrived at lunch to dine in, servers where very friendly and helpful, drink strong and taste great. Food was delicious. Highly recommend here as a place to stay and eat.

Excellent food! Very well prepared, great presentation, and even better taste! We were not guests of the hotel, but what a treat for those who do stay there. Visited on a quiet mid-week. The two staff members were very friendly, attentive, and complimented the stunning ocean views.By appearance, this is a clean and modern hotel restaurant. But their food and service stand very well against more typical eateries in the Gap. Perhaps it's a great find for those looking to avoid any crowded patios on the roadside bars and restaurants. I can't say for sure, but most others seemed to be relaxed hotel guests soaking in the sun. As diners only, we were given great service, and the chef(s) delivered very tasty food!

If you eat hear bring cash we had a lovely meal and used my card to pay itdid not work was informed the card machine was not working there was a fault tried to use 2 more differant cards but no joy so had to walk back to our hotel for cash to use which was for the airport and taxi totally unacceptable when the fault was on their side it makes me wonder if it was a ruse to get cash,a bad ending to our holiday which we had all enjoyed and was looking at booking at this hotel,just wondering what they would done if we had no cash probably the machine would of miraculously worked!!!!as if by magic

Stayed here, it's in the South gap hotel. From the top floors with ocean view you can see the turtles. The bar & restaurant are on a par with others in the area with good staff. Excellent atmosphere.

Really nice food, great size portion, price was affordable too. The owner/bartender was really pleasant to interact with as well. 100% recommended, don't expect fine dining but rather some great and authentic local food.

I asked for a combo plate and it did not disappoint! The curry beef is tender flavorful and the fried chicken is seasoned to perfection. Everything on my plate was wonderful! The service was amazing and the atmosphere is vibrant.

Great bajan food at affordable prices. Fried chicken and rum punch recommended. Hospitality also very welcoming with the owner Coffey even giving us a lift in his car to the bus station after our meal.

What a fantastic local restaurant! Being new to the area it was a little intimidating entering, not knowing what the food would be or the set up, but the staff were so friendly and welcoming. They proactively offered up descriptions of everything from the ten dishes and weren’t stingy with the servings! The food itself was hot, full of flavour and a great insight into local cuisine.The decor and interior might be basic, but that’s in keeping with the local vibe, and there’s a choice of seating by the bar area or a separate area complete with TV screen.If you’re in the area then I’d highly recommend coming here; it was only because of a short stay that I didn’t return again myself!

Some of the best authentic home cooked food I've had in the Caribbean, hands down, and I have family in Trinidad and visit/eat there often.Trust me, you will not regret Coffy's if you have a cultured palate.

We walked in for some dinner and luckily they had some food left. We were told that it’s best to come for food in the afternoon while there is more food choices available. We got there at about 1900. We also ordered rum and co*kes and he made them very strong but we didn’t mind.

Literally the only place I want to eat when I'm in Barbados. What I love about Coffy's is the variety of food and natural juices, the fact he uses herbs and spices and not salt, and that he is open on days that everything else is closed. His food makes my holiday!

Walked into this place by chance after walking by it. Well trained staff and a nice atmosphere. We only went for a drink but stayed for a couple as it was nice to sit by the barrels and people watch . We didn’t have food but the seating and tables were set out impeccably so I can only assume from the service we got that the food service would be the same . It’s strange that this place didn’t come up on trip advisor or on the maps on my phone when I looked around. It looks and feels like a top class place to eat and drink!. We will be back

Food here is amazing, Infact absolutely STUNNING! If your after authentic Barbadian food then this is the place, almost like grandma’s cooking so to speak. Ambience is also authentic Barbadian with the newest Soca music playing. My wife has a million and one allergies and the waitress and chef made fresh food for her and were very very attentive to my wife’s allergies questioning everything. Hats of to you all, definitely my go to place!Well done to you all!

Formerly the Steak House, The St. Lawrence has a great natural ambience, staff paid extra attention and never missed a beat. I had a few drinks which were good and tasty. Desert was not too sweet and flavorful. I had surf and turf, can't go wrong with best of both worlds. The Rum Old fashion was good, I always want extra rum 😁. Deserts were rum cake with rum and raising ice cream and NY cheesecake... both very good. Please make reservations!

What an amazing and enjoyable restaurant! The staff are extremely friendly, the food is incredibly tasty, the atmosphere is so relaxed with live music, everything is very clean and well organized and I feel so happy to be here. I had the pork loin and it was incredibly tasty and so well presented.I totally recommend this place to everyone. I think the bad reviews are from before they changed management and they don't do justice to how nice this place is.

We ordered the crepes with extra blueberries and waffles with eggs. Instead of blueberries, I got 2 raspberries and my husband received an omelette. He said I ordered waffles. It would take more than 20 minutes after my food arrived to get his waffles and even then the order was wrong. When the bill came, I realised they still charged for the blue berries I never received. When I asked that the bill be corrected, the waitress response was “you got raspberries”. They wanted to charge $6 BBD for 2 raspberries!!! The service was extraordinarily slow, poor and unapologetic. There are way better places in the area to try. Skip this St Lawrence.

A well presented resturant and bar, with bottles of already on your table, but you can op for just a glass.The ambience is great, even the toilet area.

My team, friends and I dined at Cosmo Club to celebrate Casanova Liquid Artistry turning 3. The evening with mixologist Philip ‘Casanova’ was sponsored by co*ckspur and boy was that classy! The set up outdoors was beautiful, everything was done safely and the entire place was a vibe. The drinks were superb, the initial welcome by the manager Tabby felt welcoming and our server Shanice was pleasant, attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. The starter fish cakes were a hit and overall the physical layout and the drinks were a plus in my books. However, I won’t give Cosmo Club 5 stars and here is why. After being seated, it was a bit overwhelming with different waiters and waitresses coming to the table initially. A few times I had to repeat my order. The starter and main took extremely long to come out. The wings were slightly on the salty side but the salad with that mango drizzle eventually balanced the two. Despite the place was busy, there were still enough wait staff on the floor to facilitate as at times, some were standing around a bit. Shanice was pretty swamped with tables and we missed her for a while. She apologized and that made our evening. As someone who has been working in the service and tourism industry for years, overall, for a new establishment, the drinks are superb and the food is nice. Would return again to try the food and definitely the DRINKS as one experience just isn’t enough!

The Cosmo burger was excellent. We sat outside, and the banister had a bit of dust on it. I was afraid something would fall in my drink l. But the service was good. Try the "Fountain of Youth" drink for an interestingly gingery twist.

First time visit for lunch. A very beautiful setting with bold colors and design for decor, loved it. The co*cktails were refreshing and delicious. We had rum punch, pure passion and the October pink special. Food: pesto pasta, burrito bowl and wings all thumbs up. The coconut bread pudding was a good portion and tasted great. The staff was perfectly attentive. There's onsite parking.

Let me say we came here on Cinco de Mayo, so it was very busy. It did take a long time to get drinks and food, but everyone was polite. A DJ was on deck so it kept a positive vibe. Tacos were good. The drinks were too sweet, so that led to tequilla shots.

Firstly...I love the aesthetics and decor of this restaurant - very modern and chic, so I could definitely appreciate that! (And I'd be lying if I said this wasn't what led me to visit 🙈)I decided to order the stuffed, berry French toast... it was so decadent and delish 🥰 and a side of cheesy potatoes (I didn't think the portion would be this big!), but it was definitely giving comfort food!And the cute sparkler topped dessert was complimentary as I was celebrating my pre-birthday 😅Definitely a memorable experience, the service was top tier and def try their chai tea, it was so good! ❤

The wings were a bit undercooked and I wasn't entirely pleased with them. The chicken sandwich was, juicy, 10/10 and filled with flavor! The dessert was extremely delicious as well! I would recommend the wildberry rum sour or their margaritas where drinks are concerned 😍

I visited this restaurant for lunch and the Jamaican guy that served me was the sweetest, he ushered me into the restaurant, had me seated and took my order. He checked to make everything was okay several times. I give him 5 stars for this customer service.However, I went back for dinner and it took the ladies 21 minutes to realize I was even there then another 5 minutes to take my drink order then another 17 minutes to bring it to me, let me mention.. the restaurant wasn't even remotely full. I called the waitress twice and she didn't acknowledge me. When she was walking past I mention that I'd like to order something to eat and she told me to wait. Then took another 15ish minutes to even look my way, instead she greeted a table of 4 as well as a table of 2. Not to mention the prices on the physical menu wasn't corresponding with the one on the qr.It was truly an unpleasant experience.

After hearing Pronto had been closed i was wondering what had become of this restaurant.Well we had dinner last night and everything about Kandy Bar is better than before.Really good food with really large portions.There is a good party energy inside and you will see people randomly dancing to the music.Great staff always friendly.There will be a wait for food but that is part of life here.The price is also very reasonable for the Gap.Overall i am impressed with the changes.Edit: one of the few places in the gap that will answer the phone for a pick up order.

This bar/restaurant was known as Pronto in the past, but it is now Kandy Bar.We went there on 3 occasions, always ordering happy hour drinks (offered all day) and ate there on 2 occasions. The food is good and well priced. For a family of 4, we ate there for $50 USD, which is great compared to other restaurants.Service was good, but always on island time. It seems like there are mostly tourists that eat here as they offer a more Americanized menu. Great value for what you get!

We walked to St Lawrence Gap for an evening meal and heard the music at the Kandy Bar and thought it would be a good place to eat.We placed our order for the drinks and food with the waitress. We expected our drinks to come fairly quickly (2 glasses of tap water). It didn’t so I asked one of the waiters and a few minutes later the water arrived. However, the food order took even longer… we waited 40 minutes and nothing arrived. We asked the waiter and he said it would be with us soon. I wasn’t impressed with his communication skills. The food still didn’t arrive so I spoke to the owner, who said she would personally check with the kitchen. About 5 minutes later the food arrived. There were no cutlery, plates or napkins on the table and they weren’t delivered with the food either. So. I had to attract the owners attention, who then bought them over.The service was very poor and the staff didn’t care. The level of service needs a full review and overhaul.

The food was pretty decent. the portions were a bit small. Loved the atmosphere, overlooking the resort and the sky deck pool. 👌 I would recommend if you are staying at the resort.

The outside patio and the view is what makes this place amazing. The food was okay and the service is also okay. It was really nice to enjoy a mimosa with the crisp air if the ocean around. I only had breakfast and overall is was just average.

The lamb shank was spectacular and Shaquan was a fantastic server.

If it’s not obvious because it wasn’t for us: this place is on a rooftop and there is no signs telling you it is.We waited about 20min to be seated and then another 30min to get food. The a la carte breakfast was one of the nicest I thought although there is little to do with French breakfast. The pastries are your typical North American chain pastries which for Europeans such as myself was outrageous. The salmon benedict was great, the steak and eggs was great, truly enjoyed the peppercorn steak. The fluffy pancakes were a bit tasteless. Service was the usual average, basic service. Atmosphere was extremely cosy and worth the wait in my opinion.

The food is an incredible experience and certainly worth adding to your list if you are staying at either of the Sandals hotels on Barbados. You will need to pre-book however.

Wonderful restaurant. Their breakfast is amazing. My husband loved his lobster omelet. I so enjoyed the banana French toast. So so yummy! 4 stars on service was more because of 'island time '. ;)
